NetDiag+ 1.0 to 1.3: the launch
NetDiag+ went into the App Store in April 2026. This is what the first versions were.
1.0 — the kit
Ping, traceroute, DNS lookup, whois, port scanner, Wi-Fi and LAN analysis, a speed test, a subnet calculator, IP geolocation. All of it on BSD sockets inside the app — the constraint that shaped everything after: no jailbreak, no root, no helper on a desktop, and results that never leave the device unless you send them.
1.2 — Host Monitor
Keep a list of hosts and watch them: reachability over time with local notifications when one drops. The tool for "is it only me, and since when".
1.3 — map, passport, BGP, languages
- Traceroute Map — the hops on a map, so a route that goes to another continent and back is visible at a glance.
- Network Passport — a shareable card of where you are on the network: public IP, ASN and operator, NAT, DNS, the things a support agent asks for one at a time.
- BGP visibility — for any IP, hostname or AS number: the announcing AS, its peers, announced prefixes and RPKI status, via RIPEstat.
- Ten languages, with a language setting that opens iOS Settings.
- Haptics, empty states, and the consent flow for ads in the EU and US states that require one.
