Privacy Policy

Overview

NetDiag+ is a network diagnostics toolkit that performs Ping, Traceroute, MTR, Path MTU discovery, DNS lookups, Whois, Wi-Fi analysis, LAN scanning, and other network tests. Your privacy is important to us.

Data Collection

We do not collect your name, email address, or the contents of your diagnostic queries. All network diagnostics are performed locally on your device. Query results (ping responses, traceroute hops, DNS records, whois data) are displayed on-screen and stored only on your device — they are never sent to our servers. We do not operate any servers.

The app does collect limited, pseudonymous usage and advertising data through the third-party services described below (Google AdMob and Google Analytics for Firebase), subject to your consent where required.

Network Access

The app requires network access to perform its core diagnostic functions (sending ICMP packets, DNS queries, TCP/TLS connections, and local network scanning). This network activity is initiated only by your explicit action and serves no other purpose.

Advertising

NetDiag+ displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use data to serve ads, including:

Where consent is required (EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and certain US states), the app shows a consent form on first launch. You can review or withdraw your consent at any time via Settings → “Manage Ad Privacy” in the app. You can also opt out of personalized advertising by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt or under iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking.

Analytics

NetDiag+ uses Google Analytics for Firebase (provided by Google LLC) to understand how the app is used and to improve it. It collects aggregated, pseudonymous usage data such as app launches, screen views, session length, in-app events (including anonymized purchase events), approximate location (country/region derived from your IP address), device model, OS version, and an app-instance identifier. It does not collect your name, email address, or the contents of your diagnostic queries.

Analytics is enabled on the same basis as advertising: where consent is required, it runs only if you consent through the in-app prompt, and not at all if you decline. You can change your choice at any time via Settings → “Manage Ad Privacy”.

Google processes this data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and the Firebase privacy documentation.

App Tracking Transparency

On first launch, NetDiag+ will request your permission to track activity across other companies' apps and websites. This is used solely for ad personalization by Google AdMob. You may decline without any impact on the app's diagnostic functionality.
